AI Tinkerers Raleigh - Agentic Coding at Amazon + Hands-on with Kiro
I joined AI Tinkerers Raleigh for an evening focused on the future of software engineering, hosted at nPower. About 40 people came out to dig into how developers are moving past basic chat prompts toward fully autonomous, agentic coding workflows.
I opened with a talk on Agentic Coding at Amazon, sharing practical lessons from rolling out AI coding assistants to Amazon’s internal developers and AWS customers. From there we moved into a hands-on workshop with Kiro, where attendees used spec-driven development to build an application from concept to deployment. It was great to watch the room go from idea to working code, with Kiro handling intelligent automation, consistent code generation, and integrated testing along the way. Everyone walked away with Kiro usage credits to keep building.
Thanks to AI Tinkerers Raleigh and nPower for making the evening happen.
